Moments With Marmalade

Hot Under The Collar
It's been very hot and sunny today. At least 30'C. I think that Marmalade has been suffering a little bit in trying to keep cool. She seemed quite happy laying out on the pavement. While I'm writing this, she is sitting on the windowsill feeling the breeze from the open window and watching events unfurl in the garden.

I Wish I Had A Passport
Well what do you know, my servants Gail and Christopher are leaving me for a week, whilst they swan about in somewhere called Dubai. I don't know where that is, but it sounds a long way, and so I don't think they will be walking there, or I can go with them.
I think they are going to get Uncle Brian, who lives next door to look after me whilst they are gone. As long as he keeps me well fed, and lets me have my sleeps I won't mind.
I hope they don't bring me back any sticks of rock, because for one thing I can't eat it, and for another it won't taste like lamb and liver.

Patience
I think that I'm a very patient cat. I'll wait for Gail and Christopher to get up in the morning, so they can get me my breakfast. That's if I'm in! As I do like to stay out all night. Messing about with my friends, avoiding the rough cats in the area and generally making the most of the warmish weather. I'm a bit naughty sometimes, as I'll stand on their bedroom windowsill and start saying "where's my breakfast" in cat talk. If I do it long enough, one of them will get up and let me in. Oh, I hold such power over them both!

Paws For Thought
Hi everyone, Marmalade here. Some of you may know me already from Nottingham Daily Photo, the blog site my good friend Christopher writes every evening without fail. I'm not sure whether I can be so disciplined, especially with it still being light at night, as I like to lay on the pavement of an evening and watch the traffic go by.
I plan to write a sort of online diary of my adventures. But today I'm feeling a little sorry for myself. I got into a bit of a scuffle with a greyish black cat the other day and now some of my fur is falling out near my right ear where I got scratched. Gail and Christopher have been making a fuss of me today. It's helped, but I feel a long catnap coming on.
